Texas Parks and Wildlife Department requires the services of
1 Security Administrator Specialist to conduct comprehensive Supply Chain Risk Assessments for all business-critical third-party hosted applications. This role includes creating and maintaining an Annual Checklist to support compliance efforts with standards such as CJIS, PCI, and TXRAMP. The specialist will also develop and sustain management plans covering key areas such as risk, patch, access, and vulnerability management. Additionally, the specialist will utilize dashboards as effective communication tools for both internal use by the Cybersecurity Team and IT, as well as external use for divisional awareness.
Requirements:
- 5yrs - Required - Developing and revising policies, standards, processes, and guidelines.
- 5yrs - Required - Managing risks related to the use of Information Technology, Information Security, Privacy, Regulatory Compliance and Governance.
- 5yrs - Required - Conducting gap analysis and implementing frameworks and standards such as NIST
- 5yrs - Required - Conducting vendor risk assessments against organizational security requirement
- 5yrs - Required - Experience with computers, networks, firewalls, switches, encryption, and authentication methods.
- 3yrs - Required - Experience writing technical documentation for IT solutions, including operational guides and compliance documentation
- 2yrs - Required - Experience in Data analysis and report creation in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI Desktop
- 3+ yrs - Required - Experience writing technical documentation for IT solutions, including operational guides and compliance documentation.

Work hours and location:
- Services to be provided during normal business hours but may be occasionally called upon for after hour as needed.
- Primary work location is Texas Parks and Wildlife Headquarters, IT Division, 4200 Smith School Road, Austin, Texas 78744.
- Must work on-site from primary work location a minimum of 2 days per week.
- In-person interviews will be conducted for this position.
