GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for research, analysis, and mitigation of security threats as well as improving the overall security of UDR assets. Reviewing risk and vulnerabilities to UDR assets on a continuous basis is an important responsibility for this position. Collaborates closely with appropriate business personnel regarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability related to their specific corporate assets.

Essential Functions
- Ensure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of corporate systems and infrastructure via defense-in-depth practices.
- Maintain and enforce security policies.
- First responder to Security ticket queues and emails, including phish reports.
- Coordinate with leadership to plan and implement regular UDR Security tests.
- Interact periodically with external/internal providers and stakeholders.
- Communicate threats and issues reported by the user base to senior members of the team and leadership for triage.
- Work with the IT staff and other end users to enhance security measures.
- Operate and maintain new systems/technologies as it pertains to security.
- Review technological industry periodicals to identify applicable solutions within the UDR environment that improve security, functionality, and compliance objectives.
- Update and/or assist Service Delivery staff on any security issues.
- Work with internal personnel and vendors to gather information needed for special projects or new activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures. Ability to apply policies and procedures to solve everyday company issues.
Critical understanding of UDR’s operations, business drivers, systems, and values. Superior analysis and communications skills are critical and the ability to be self-sufficient in a fast-paced environment is required.
Strong organization skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be skilled in focusing on desired results, determining what is important and urgent, and clarifying next steps to meet deadlines and achieve desired results. Must have the ability to manage workload, assist in assigning duties in regard to security issues, to develop efficient and effective processes, and to communicate with managers and staff at all levels of the organization. Ability to travel as required.
Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of computer systems, products, services, and applications. Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Some bending, stooping, and stretching. Occasionally lifting items weighing up to 30 lbs. requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Extensive data input and required ability to sit for long periods of time. Regular and consistent attendance on the job is an essential function.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work. Travel up to 10%. Rotating on-call required.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, related field, or its equivalent experience, required.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in IT services is desired along with a broad knowledge of technology products and services.
- Work experience with Splunk, vulnerability scanners, Incident Response, XDR/EDR, firewalls and KnowBe4.
- Security certification a plus.
- Server administration a plus.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license unless otherwise noted.

Salary Range
- $80,000/yr. – $95,000/yr., depends on experience
Bonus Potential
- Eligible for 10% annual bonus potential, based on personal and company performance
