Job Overview This position is responsible for completing daily activities that protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Peoples Bank digital assets. Activities include the daily management of the incoming support tickets, user access changes, and documentation of the IS team procedures. Will assist the Information Security team in performing annual access reviews, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery documentation updates, and resolving support issues.This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow their career in Information Security and Identity Access Management.
Job Duties:
User Access / Administration - Administer and configure systems to support security best-practice user profile updates and password resets, research and testing functionality while maintaining regulatory and audit compliance and prevent breach of access to software systems. Prepare and provide necessary user and security profile documentation and follow-up for audit and examinations. Audit Experience – Understanding the audit process for SOX applications to assist the leads with all audit type requests including gathering log information, documenting all changes according, and providing clear documentation to the auditors upon request. Collaboration with other departments - Cross training / Support of I.S. Dept. – Maintain capability and training on the daily duties of the Information Security Team and perform monitoring tasks as assigned. Perform upkeep of daily functions of the team. Evangelize and communicate security requirements to other departments. Documentation - Maintain up-to-date documentation of all of process that pertains to Information Security job duties and functions. Ensure the documentation is available, and stored in a manner that ensures only those with a need-to-know have access. Develops, reviews, and maintains all policies, procedures, and standards for identifying, tracking, and reporting authorized and unauthorized access and/or breaches of information security, confidentiality and privacy. Teamwork - Actively work with the Security Specialist and IS Analyst III with the goal of supporting each in the various areas of concentration. Assist in the development, communication and adaptation of new security processes, procedures, and documentation. Education - Participates in education through various channels to enhance ability to perform current duties and stay current with developments in information security and managed systems. Successful completion of all required in-house training must also be performed. Travel – Travel to branch offices may be required (Will participate in the rotational weekend coverage for immediate on-call availability on Saturdays. Will perform special projects as assigned.
Education, Job Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Technology or Cyber Security or equivalent work experience in this field.
- Previous experience or familiarity with Banking & Insurance operations desired.
- Experience with scripting is a plus.
- Possesses relationship management, motivational, communication, interpersonal, listening, documentation and technical translation.
- Understanding of the functional application and process flows between applications.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to absorb and retain information.
- Analytical, problem-solving, customer service and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of IT security principles and practices, including access control, least privilege and data protection.
- Familiar with security protocols and tools (i.e. LDAP, Active Directory, MFA, SSO)
- Competent with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Understand what a SOX application is.
- Security + or other technical certifications desired.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage time to meet deadlines.
- Positive and professional attitude
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Technology or Cyber Security or equivalent work experience in this field.
