Description
TDI is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Security Professional to join our team as part of a Federal Contractor organization. The Security Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of personnel, property, and sensitive information in compliance with federal regulations and company policies. This position requires 3-5 years of experience in security operations, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage complex security situations effectively.

Key Responsibilities
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local security regulations, as well as company policies.
- Prepare detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation as required.
- Update and Maintain Security SOPs.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors, addressing security concerns professionally.
- Assist with directions and information requests while maintaining a security presence.
- Training and Development:
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on security procedures and technologies.
- Onboarding new team members.
- Ensure the Security Education, Training and Awareness programs regulations, standards, and compliance requirements are being met for all employees.
- Specialized Duties:
- Support classified material handling and protection.
- Ensure databases are checked daily to ensure accurate information across all platforms and correct as needed to ensure compliance
- Maintains all security documentation and files in accordance with security regulations.
- Maintain Tracker of accounts, accesses, clearances, and badges.
- Process employee security information, schedule visit requests, respond to the various shipyard requirements for visits, schedule debriefs, track international travel and various other related duties.
- Access Control and Monitoring:
- Manage and monitor access to facilities, ensuring only authorized individuals enter secure areas.
- Operate and monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
- Incident Response:
- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
- Conduct initial investigations, document findings, and report to the appropriate authorities as necessary.
Requirements
Experience:
3-5 years of experience as a Security professional, preferably in a federal or government contractor environment.
Education
Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field or an additional four years of Security related experience in lieu of a degree.
Clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
Skills
- Experience with the DISS/NBIS, NISS, SWFT, eQIP/eAPP preferred.
- Knowledge of OPSEC procedures and application of OPSEC to Sensitive Government information preferred.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
Professionalism
Proven ability to maintain discretion, confidentiality, and integrity in all duties.

Salary Description
$70,000 - $80,000/year
